ALLA will fund $3000 to cover registration, travel, insurance and accommodation expenses. Annual Fellowship Program Guidelines and Selection Criteria Message from the ALLA National Vice President, 3 April 2012 I have great delight in announcing that Amanda Surrey has been awarded the fellowship for 2012. Amanda works with BHP Billiton as the Manager of Group Legal. She was particularly interested in the AALL conference as there are significant developments in the globalisation of law and merging of law firms and publishers; also the movement into the mobile world and its challenges that the profession is facing. Amanda has been an ALLA member for 15 years, with contributions in various activities since 1997 in State and National level. She has worked as editor of the Victorian newsletter, Convenor of the Victorian 2003 conference and more recently as co-convenor of the 2006 conference. Amanda has agreed to tweet and blog about her experience and insight from AALL (American Association of Law Libraries) conference which she is attending. I will let you know closer to the event details on how to locate Amanda's tweets and blog. On behalf of the Committee we thank everyone who submitted applications as they were of a high standard. Regards Lisa Sylvester National Vice President, Australian Law Librarians' Association Scholarship Recipients
