Webinar on OER well received

30 July, 2020 at 7:21 AM

The webinar 'Open Educational Resources and Scholarship in Law and Legal Studies: the State of Play' presented by Steven Chang and Thomas Shafee from La Trobe University was very well received. Over 40 attendees tuned in via Zoom for the one-hour session on 30 July 2020.

Steven and Thomas discussed key developments in the worlds of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Access in research. They spoke about the key benefits, challenges and solutions in the context of Law and Legal Studies, situated within the bigger picture of recent developments in open access publishing and open data. Further thought-provoking discussion, as well as questions and suggestions from the audience, followed as to how OER and Open Access relate to law librarianship and how to be future-ready in the rapidly changing teaching and research landscape.

Here is the DOI for the presentation and recording, now published in La Trobe University Figshare  https://doi.org/10.26181/5f210c6e1ff83
